E is for Exercise!

Exercise - how much exercise do you manage to fit into a week?

People who do regular activity have a lower risk of many chronic diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and some cancers.

Research shows that physical activity can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy, as well as reducing your risk of stress, depression, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Too busy to exercise? How about including exercise in your daily routine. Can you walk to work or cycle? Does your work have the Cycle Scheme available, allowing you to get a bike at a reduced cost plus spread the cost? Can you schedule in some activity during your lunch break or before/after work? Maybe you need the motivation of group fitness to get you moving? Or maybe a personal trainer to be accountable to? Or maybe just meeting up with friends and going for a run? Either way it has to be manageable and, ideally, fun!
